eating leftovers
"a flock of bald-headed birds sit high in the treetops, watching, just watching and waiting"
last night i finished the vulture lino cut. the image is pulled from an old childcraft book called "the how and why library". the packaging for "birdcycle" is gold wallpaper turned inside out (white) and the print will be gold (with negative space shaping the composition). the cd-r will be brown with hand monogramed text on the face.
the new cd-r has similar aesthetic elements as "all you ever talk about"

cwhol show!!!
the 21st of november @ tasty world with The Gray Hounds, The Stereofidelics, and Save Grand Canyon - five dollars, 10pm (cwohl is playing first)
also . . . there is a ye olde subbe shoppe show @ cine on the night of the 22nd. jason g. and myself will be performing as the shop while deaf judges, nice machine, and the starter kits roundout the evening - five dollars, 9pm (sub shop is playing first)

birdcircle and other bits
"birdcircle" is the name of an upcoming cwhol release. it is slated to be a split cd-r with vocab/favorite cousin/christopher's liver highlighting each groups' catalog of live recordings). the tracklist is being pulled from a few 2008/2009 recordings, and will hopefully include songs from the southeast of the states to the south of france. to be out to you before thanksgiving is through.
also: "mon voyage: the extended mix" and "all you ever talk about" cd-rs are available @ the daily co-op (523 Prince Ave, Athens, GA), wuxtry (197 E Clayton St Athens, GA), and schoolkids (264 E Clayton StAthens, GA). you can also pick one up from me.
also: these two records will soon be available for donation downloads.
also: i'm going to start announcing shows on this page. i think i am playing a show on the 21st of novemeber, but some bands and booking agents can't get their shit together. seriously?
on a brighter note: good memories give me warmth.

this is christopher. i have been doing a lot of thinking as of late about archiving and artifacts, the analog and the digital. how to have a more interactive approach to storing and sharing these stories and songs that i've written and plan to write. i've wanted my interactions with the internet to be more user-friendly for me and you for forever and i think that this basic html website will be a nice project for me. i found blogspot hosting through cable and tweed - http://cableandtweed.blogspot. i like how this site has worked itself out with the audio and visual (props to rich). it is just that i can no longer can buy into the prefab myspace identity and the shit they support. sorry if that sounds snarky. my friend spoons explains things so much better - http://www.throughtheconcreterecords.com/documents/fuckmyspace1.html. stay tuned for mp3's and stories (i promise to have more posted in the coming week). call me on my shit if i don't do it.
